NEWS: CANADA HALTS VISA FOR EBOLA COUNTRIES

Canada on Friday stopped issuing visas to people from the West African countries at the heart of the Ebola outbreak.

Immigration authorities said they made the decision because "the introduction or spread of the disease would pose an imminent and severe risk to public health in Canada."

The ban applies to worker, student and visitor visas for people who have been in a country with widespread Ebola transmission in the past three months. Applications in the pipeline will not be processed. Australia took a similar step earlier this week.

Some lawmakers in the United States have called for a travel ban for Ebola countries. Public health officials have said that it could be circumvented, and that it would hamper the fight against Ebola, in part by keeping doctors and nurses out of the hot zone.

NEWS: BURKINA FASO PRESIDENT RESIGN: MILITARY NOW IN CHARGE

Burkina Faso's military chief is now the head of state of the West African nation, after unrest that led to the resignation of President Blaise Compaore. Gen. Honore Nabere Traore has now taken over presidential duties and he will lead the country through a political transition and elections. Compaore initially dissolved the government but said he would stay in power until elections could be carried out.

Compaore pictured abovechanged his mind, and on Friday announced his resignation, said he stepped down to preserve peace in the country.

MUSIC:BEYONCE AND BLUE IVY FLAWLESSLY HONORS THE JACKSONS ON HALLOWEEN

Beyoncé took to Instagram on Friday to share an adorable picture of herself and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, dressed up for Halloween. The 2-year-old looked absolutely adorable as Michael Jackson, while her famous mom channeled Michael's sister Janet Jackson on the video Rhythim Nation. Beyoncé and Blue kicked off the holiday festivities when they attended Power 1051.1's Powerhouse event in NYC; Jay Z took the stage to perform during the party, and the trio was spotted leaving together later that evening. We'll have to wait and see if the Knowles-Carter clan does any more celebrating tonight, but for now, let's just marvel at how flawless little Blue looks in her MJ costume.

Ebola:New Jersey Release Nurse Quarantine In Ebola scare

A nurse who was quarantined at a hospital in New Jersey after returning from West Africa was released Monday.

Kaci Hickox, told CNN that the quarantine was violating her rights, was discharged after testing negative for Ebola.

Hickox was put in isolation Friday after returning to New Jersey from a month in Sierra Leone.

Her quarantine, part of a days-old policy the governors of New York and New Jersey instituted for all health care workers who've had contact with Ebola patients in West Africa, has been criticized widely by health care experts.

She told CNN "This is an extreme that is really unacceptable, and she feel like her basic human rights have been violated," She said she was flummoxed as to how New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who has no medical training, could describe her as "obviously ill."

News:Dallas Nurse Amber Vinsion Ebola-free discharged from Hospital

(CNN) -- A nurse's release Tuesday from an Atlanta hospital leaves a single person in the United States now battling Ebola, though she and others -- including President Barack Obama -- stressed the fight against the deadly virus isn't over.

"While this is a day for celebration and gratitude, I ask that we not lose focus on the thousands of families who continue to labor under the burden of this disease in West Africa," said 29-year-old Amber Vinson.

About two weeks ago, Vinson became the second nurse from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas to get the virus while caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian man who began showing Ebola symptoms after arriving in Texas and died of it there. She and Nina Pham -- the other Dallas nurse who was discharged from a National Institutes of Health facility in Maryland on Friday -- are differ from the handful of other U.S. Ebola cases in the United States because they caught the disease in America, rather than contracting it in West Africa.

Rumor has it: Wizkid was arrested in Kenya for smoking weed..really??

Kenyan publication Standard Digital said he was arrested at his Nairobi Crown Plaza hotel over the weekend. According to the website, when confronted by the hotel’s staff, things got heated, which led them to calling police. Somehow Victoria Kimani’s name was also in the mix.

“Visiting Nigerian singer Wizkid was arrested from his Nairobi Crown Plaza Hotel room on Saturday afternoon and quizzed by police only hours before his flight back to Lagos.

The arrest was in connection with allegations that he was caught smoking illegal substances. The incident happened at around 1pm just as the Caro singer was checking out of his hotel room where he has been staying for a week, since his last week’s concert.

Before police officers cuffed him and drove him to Capital Hill Police Station where he was quizzed, the hotel had already charged him with 50,000 Kenyan Shillings smoking penalty, which he paid through his credit card.

Coming to his rescue was his newly found Kenyan flame Victoria Kimani, who followed him to the police station shortly after he had been arrested. Victoria had been with the singer at the hotel the previous day. Wizkid was due to leave for Lagos at around 3pm and was forced to cancel the flight due to the drama.”

Neither Wizkid nor Victoria Kimani has responded to the alleged incident.

This is a true story, apparently owner of this building (In Nigeria) decided to add actual 4th floor to the building. Look at the foundation of the building. The house was built 30 years ago as bungalow and 10 years ago the owner decided to add second floor, third floor and now as you can see owner is adding 4 floor.... Two patients are being monitored in isolation at The University of Chicago Medical Center and Rush University Medical Center after reporting Ebola-like symptoms.Neither patient is believed to have been exposed to the disease.Passenger was traveling from Liberia to O'Hare International Airport when they became ill on the plane. Upon landing, the passenger was immediately screened by federal authorities and found to have no fever and no symptoms other than reportedly vomiting once during the flight. The passenger has no known risk of exposure.
