Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they used to say, but it seems that is no longer true. Beauty is now in the eye of the sufferer of BDD, or Body Dysmorphic Disorder, people who perpetually see themselves physically flawed. To assuage their nagging feeling of ugliness, the BDD sufferer has found a holy grail in plastic surgery, to the industry’s great content and the public’s morbid delight. The pain of BDD comes at a great cost, not everyone can afford to satisfy their cravings for physical transformation, which is why our list is comprised mainly of the rich and famous. 1.Donatella Versace

Fashion designer and vice-president of the haute couture brand Versace, Donatella, 59, has had a fair share of surgeries since the 1990s and it’s not hard to see just what she’s done to herself, although she insists that she’s only ever used Botox. Among other adjustments, her most noticeable changes have been to her nose and lips. The fashionista has tried to put her “youthful look” down to her beauty regiment. “I'm not like this genetically,” she admitted. ”I use tons of cream and take care of my hair and skin.”

2- Lil' Kim

The sassy, Brooklyn-born rapper has become aggressively defensive in her response to media accusations of having significantly altered her face by going under the knife. The rapper responded by claiming that the pictures making the rounds in the internet have been trumped up with Photoshop, while her manager stated that the pics were “fictitious, malicious and despicable”. What is true, though, is the evidence provided by any older pictures compared to current ones.

3-The Duchess of Alba..

Unknown to many Americans, the Spanish aristocrat is Spain’s richest woman and holds more than 44 aristocratic titles, more than any other noble in the world. Famed for her beauty in her youth, the eccentric and flamboyant duchess has undergone multiple plastic surgeries that have considerably changed her appearance. That, however, did not pose a problem for her new husband, 25 years her junior.

5-Jocelyn Wildenstein

Dubbed the “Bride of Wildenstein”, and rightly so, Wildenstein has spent an estimated $4m on her surgeries, which proves that money may buy you everything, but not good looks. She was married to Alec Wildenstein, a prominent art dealer, when her penchant for surgery manifested itself, supposedly to please her husband, a hunter and lover of big felines. Oddly enough, she has said that she is ecstatic with the work done on her face and feels beautiful

6-Latoya Jackson

Born the fifth child of the Jackson music clan, Latoya has had her ups and downs during her career and with her family, especially with her brother, the late Michael Jackson, whom she started to look more like after her procedure. She’s changed her nose to the now familiar Jackson nose (see brother Michael and sister Janet), cheek and chin implants. Like her two siblings mentioned here, she was a good-looking girl until her obsession with a perfect face took over.

7-Hang Mioku

Undoubtedly the most hair-raising and horrible case of BDD ever recorded. The former South Korean model has had multiple operations that have left her face enlarged, disfigured and unrecognizable. Her case was so extreme that plastic surgeons refused to operate on her, acknowledging an obvious underlying psychological problem. After the refusals, she took matters into her own hands and starting injecting cooking oil into her face, making her already disfigured face even worse. After appearing on a S. Korean TV program, viewers were moved by her situation and sent money in so she could have surgery to reduce the size of her face. During the first procedure surgeons removed 60g of foreign substance from Hang's face and 200g from her neck. After several other sessions, her face was left greatly reduced but still scarred and disfigured. Hang now regrets having had all the operations and wishes to have her original face back again.

Famed for being the mother of actor Sylvester Stallone, canine clairvoyant and psychic hotline entrepreneur, she’s now added another entry to her résumé: Plastic surgery. She has had almost everything done: facelift, brow lift, cheek implants, nose job and, of course, lip jobs. She and her son can now discuss the latest procedures as Sly has also reputedly gone under the knife.
